Krishnan Anantharaman is a Story Editor for Chalkbeat Detroit and Tennessee. He spent the first two decades of his career at The Wall Street Journal, where he oversaw the Classroom Edition, the Journal’s award-winning high school publication, and directed coverage of Detroit and Michigan. He has also worked as an editor for the fact-checking organization PolitiFact and for Automotive News, where he helped forge a partnership to sustain scholastic journalism in Detroit. Krishnan has a journalism degree from Northwestern and a master’s in strategic communication from Michigan State.
